Hinting at a Teen Titans reboot?
I’ve never seen a show so openly shit on itself so hard without any hint of irony or bitterness towards the disapproving audience.
Like, Batman Brave and the Bold had a similar episode where they acknowledged that the show wasn’t tonally what Batman fans were used to, but stood their ground and said that silly batman is just as valid as grimdark batman and that they weren’t harming the memory of TAS by doing something more lighthearted.
This just outright said “yeah dude the old stuff was way better and I think everyone involved would rather have the old stuff.”
